What is the California Passenger 80 Hour 8 Day Rule?
The California Intrastate Passenger 80 Hour 8 Day rule applies to Intrastate Bus Drivers operating under Title 13 of the California Code of Regulations Part 1212.5(a).
The California Intrastate Passenger 80 Hour 8 Day rules are:

A bus driver operating within the California Intrastate Passenger 80 Hour 8 Day rule cannot work more than 80 hours in an 8 consecutive day period.

A bus driver operating within the California Intrastate Passenger 80 Hour 8 Day rule cannot work no more than 15 hours.

A bus driver operating within the California Intrastate Passenger 80 Hour 8 Day rule cannot drive more than 10 hours.

A bus driver operating within the California Intrastate Passenger 80 Hour 8 Day rule must take a mandatory 8 hours off duty before beginning a new work period.
